Joanne Mills, RN, IBCLC, CIMI, CPR Instructor
Joanne Mills, RN, IBCLC, CIMI. JoAnne received her certification as a lactation consultant in 1995 through the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants. Since that time she has developed and headed the lactation program for Suburban Pediatrics. She has also served as a lactation educator in the Physician Assistant programs at both D'Youville and Daemen Colleges.
JoAnne has been a registered nurse since 1982 and a member of the Suburban Pediatrics team since 1990. Her work experience has been both in the hospital and private office settings. JoAnne has also served as a certified infant massage instructor and an American Red Cross CPR instructor. When you ask JoAnne why she is passionate about her work, she will tell you that she finds working with parents a privilege and very fulfilling. She finds great satisfaction in empowering parents by giving them the tools to be confident in their parenting skills.
Bridget Kuchta, IBCLC
Bridget Kuchta, IBCLC, completed her undergraduate degree at the State University of NY at Buffalo. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with experience in community-based clinics, hospital lactation, and private practice. Bridget joined Suburban Pediatrics in 2003.
Bridget is involved in various leadership positions in Western New York. She is current and past President of the WNY Breastfeeding Network and area Professional Liaison for an international breastfeeding organization. Bridget is actively involved in community education and planning educational conferences for area health care professionals.
Bridget enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two children. She is a devoted "soccer, hockey and cheerleading mom" and enjoys coaching youth soccer and running.
"Being able to support families through this special time is a truly rewarding experience. I appreciate the opportunity to touch the lives of so many moms and babies."
Nicole Mackey, CPNP
Nicole (Knapp) Mackey is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo. She received both her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science at the University of Buffalo. Her training was done at Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo as well as local offices and specialty clinics. Nicole is an active member of the WNY chapter of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She enjoys gardening, reading, boating, pilates and traveling with her husband. Nicole joined Suburban Pediatrics in 2005.
